BC Hospitality Foundation | Scholarship Program

The BC Hospitality Foundation has several scholarships available for individuals in the hospitality industry throughout BC. Deadlines and application criteria vary.

Scholarship Sponsors

Up to three Industry Scholarships are available annually for children of hospitality workers who have worked in the industry for 5+ years. This is a legacy scholarship to support families in the industry.

New for 2019, the BCHF awards up to ten $1,000 sommelier scholarships to further wine education studies.

Applications are now closed. 

These scholarships are sponsored by Sunrock VineyardsHester Creek, Da Silva Vineyards and Winery,  Okanagan Crush Pad (OCP) and Authentic Wine & Spirits Merchants. They are an opportunity for hospitality workers to increase their wine knowledge through schooling. Up to ten $1000.00 scholarships are awarded every year.

We do not take applications for the Hospitality Scholarship. We fund the scholarships and recipients are chosen by respective program deans, chairs and faculty from each eligible post-secondary institution from students who are enrolled in their second or fourth year of study and are at least 19 years old.

Up to five culinary scholarships are awarded in partnership with the Chefs’ Table Society of BC each fall. The Chef’s Table Society of BC selects the students and the Foundation funds the scholarships.

Applications are from January 15th until February 28, 2019

The Greg King Scholarship is a result of the collaboration between the BC Hospitality Foundation and Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. The King Family offers an exclusive $1,500 scholarship to students that are passionate about cooking!
