You can’t beat Vera’s meat indeed.
Vera’s Burger Shack is spreading the burger lover directly to the BC Hospitality Foundation.
50% from the sale of every delicous Vera Burger sold from March 1 – 15, 2016 at their Davie (1030 Davie Street) and Denman (1181 Denman Street) locations in Vancouver will go directly to the BCHF.
Vera’s director of operations, Shannon Washbrook says, “There is no other industry that is so involved in their communities with such consistency and continuity both within and beyond the bricks and mortar of their businesses as the hospitality industry. Hospitality is defined, in part, as friendliness, warmth, helpfulness, kindness, and generosity and those qualities are so often projected outward for other people’s causes. The BC Hospitality Foundation exhibits those qualities inward, onto those within the industry that need a little help, brilliant! It’s the perfect way for the industry to really give back.”
A Vancouver institution, Vera’s Burger Shack began as a beach concession at Dundarave Pier in West Vancouver in 1977 under the watchful eye of Vera and her husband Frank. For more than 20 years, Vera prided herself on serving fresh, delicious, homemade food to thousands of burger lovers from all over the world. Gerald Tritt and Noah Cantor have since taken the franchise into the new millennium, maintaining the delicious traditions of the founder, and expanding the former concession stand to a chain of 16 stores and growing!
Every Vera’s burger is cooked to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F, slightly pink in the middle, and delicious throughout. And while you’re visiting this March, don’t forget to order their double-fried freshly cut fries, housemade milkshakes, Brew City onion rings, Jalepeño bottle caps and more. And hey – corkage is only $2, so bring a nice bottle of vino from your local retailer and make it a night to remember.
The BCHF is grateful for the support of the staff at Vera’s Burger Shack. See you there. You know where we’ll be….!
