Mark Tuesday, February 5, 2014 on your calendar: that’s the day Sonoma County Vintners will visit Vancouver, bringing with them a treasure trove of sunshine-infused wines frothe golden state. An evening tasting at the Terminal City Club will offer wine lovers the chance to taste top bottles from over 20 Sonoma County wineries.
Sonoma County is widely recognized as one of the world’s premier winegrowing regions and has become a destination for wine tourists. Over 400 wineries are located in the region and it is the largest producer in California’s wine country. The Sonoma in the City event on February 5 will give Vancouverites a taste of the region’s quality and diversity, featuring classic California varietals such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel, as well as some pleasant surprises.
