When I received the e-mail notifying me that I had been selected to receive the BC WISE scholarship, I was immediately overcome with excitement, relief, and gratitude. The financial burden of tuition has been the biggest barrier to me pursuing further wine education. Having an organization like the BC Hospitality Foundation tell you that they support your career choice and want to help you along your journey is incredibly validating. It is truly an honour to be joining the ranks of all the wonderful people this organization has promoted throughout its history.
