Executive Director and General Manager | Spirit Ridge

Daniel Bibby is the Executive Director and General Manager of Spirit Ridge, a signature resort that is now part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt.  He is also the current Chair of Destination Osoyoos, and serves on the program advisory committee for Selkirk College.  His career in the hospitality industry started over thirty-five years ago, and Daniel has been highly involved in tourism in the Okanagan for the past fifteen years.

Prior to joining the Spirit Ridge team, Daniel was the General Manager of the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort and Conference Centre and was the Chair of Tourism Kelowna. His hotelier career journey also included progressive management roles with the Canadian Pacific Hotel MacDonald, Delta Lodge at Kananaskis, Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, Delta Pacific, Delta Vancouver Airport and the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.  Daniel was President of the Kelowna Hotel/Motel Association for four years, and previously represented both Delta and Fairmont Hotels as an active member on the Board of Tourism Richmond, the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Richmond Hotel Association, and Banff Lake Louise Tourism.  He is a graduate of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, holds the Gold Seal of the Canadian Chef’s de Cuisine, and is a graduate of the “Fast Trackers” Hotel Management program at Ryerson University in Toronto.  He also holds his Strata Management License through the UBC Sauder School of Business.

Daniel and his wife Christy are also the owners of Nighthawk Vineyards in Okanagan Falls, which is a family run farm gate winery and vineyard kitchen in the Heart of Wine Country.
