Metro Vancouver beer collaboration aims to help hospitality workers

After a rough 19 months, B.C.’s hospitality industry could use a beer.

And so a team of brewers have gotten together to make that happen.

Alumni from Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s (KPU) legendary brewing program worked with Langley’s Dead Frog Brewery to create New School Dry-Hopped Märzen, a collaboration that also included the BC Craft Brewers Guild. The new beer is being brewed as part of BC Craft Beer Month, the annual celebration through October of beers in B.C.

“Proceeds of the sale of the New School Dry-Hopped Märzen will benefit the BC Hospitality Foundation and the Nancy More Award, which helps female or underrepresented students begin their careers in the craft brewing industry,” states a press release about the new beer.

The BC Hospitality Foundation raises funds to help people in the hospitality industry dealing with financial hardships.
