Tourism Vancouver and Tourism Victoria are two of the BCHF’s most cherished industry partners, and we want to help spread the word about some exciting changes taking place at the organizations. Both agencies have recently undertaken a re-branding process, complete with attractive new logos.
Tourism Victoria is now Destination Greater Victoria
After comprehensive engagement with Victoria-region residents and businesses, as well as analysis of research on customers and its target markets, Tourism Victoria has decided to rebrand itself under the company trading name Destination Greater Victoria. The core of the new brand is “centred on Greater Victoria’s timeless beauty, built environment and connections to the Salish Sea,” but encompasses all of southern Vancouver Island. The renewed brand invites individuals to explore further and to visit more often to see all the region has to offer. The new tagline is “Oceans apart from the ordinary.”
Tourism Vancouver Embraces Diversity and Change
The new tagline for Tourism Vancouver is “Vancouver is a place that connects people and inspires them to live with passion.” The new brand was developed after a year-long consultation with stakeholders and focus groups, as well as surveys completed by 1,800 metro Vancouver residents and 3,200 international customers. The new brand essence presents the region as a “multidimensional, ever-evolving destination that reflects and celebrates diverse viewpoints and variety in in nature, culture, food and activity.” The new logo’s compass motif visually suggests exploration and multiple perspectives.
The BCHF thanks both organizations for their ongoing support, and we wish them every success with their refreshed brands!
