At the beginning of this year Nicole Carter a server at Joe Fortes in downtown Vancouver broke her leg very badly. Not being able to work meant Nicole had no income. Her friends and colleagues at Joe Fortes decided “to help one of their own” and raised funds to assist Nicole at this difficult time in her life. The BCHF matched the funds raised and in the picture below Nicole can be seen receiving a cheque from Alan Sacks and Joe Fortes, GM Scott Garrett.
