British Columbia Hospitality Foundation – www.hospitalityfoundation.com

The BCHF is a charity that supports hospitality workers facing financial crisis due to a health condition.  These are the people who work in your favourite restaurants, wineries, breweries, bars, and hotels.  Often with limited access to benefits or financial aid, our beneficiaries have nowhere else to turn if a health condition arises.  Your support has a meaningful impact by getting them back on their feet again.

We want you to Hustle for Hospitality because we want to:

Show solidarity with those owners and workers in the hospitality industry who:

  • have lost their livelihoods
  • are still working hard to deliver food to frontline workers
  • are providing a takeout option for those who are socially isolating and need a night off

Give people a healthy goal that will help keep them physically and mentally strong

Create awareness of the BCHF and other non-profit groups in British Columbia that support hospitality workers

We will encourage #HospitalityHustle participants to social distance and:

Set a goal such as dancing for an hour or running or walking 5km…the form of the activity is not important…the goal is just to get moving!

Share their experiences training through the weeks leading up to the event on social media under the tag #HospitalityHustle

Make it fun – wear a costume, be creative, show us by posting a photo or video on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter

Challenge a friend anywhere in B.C. to also join the event, or

Create a virtual team and challenge others to do the same

Everyone is welcome to participate in the FREE event, and while donations won’t be required, people are welcome to donate online to BCHF or one of the other groups listed on our website.

We will finish the Hospitality Hustle on May 31st at 7:05 pm with an online Social Distancing Dance PARTY with a live DJ.

We encourage all #HospitalityHustle participants and spectators to support their local hospitality businesses.

If there is a business that you want to help ensure will remain open after the COVID-19 crisis, please consider buying a gift certificate or ordering takeout from them to help them stay afloat.
