Helping in Kamloops

In late November the folks at the Noble Pig Brewhouse in Kamloops  held a fundraiser for Anakin, son of their friend, cook  and colleague Corey Rajala.  Anakin  recently suffered a brain aneurism and had to be airlifted to Vancouver for treatment.  The fundraiser was to help Corey’s family with the expenses involved with the ongoing treatment of his son.  The BCHF is matching the $4300 that was raised.

Maeghan Summers, the GM of the Nobel Pig said –

“…..We also had several people in the community come together and support us. GFS supported us by helping with the burgers and salads for the dinner special. Coke donated pop. The two radio stations (The River and Radio NL) donated airtime and prizes. I also just did a final thank you and shared how much we appreciate the support of the BC Hospitality Foundation. We also had a local golf course, Tobiano, donate a round of golf and bloom, a local florist, donate an arrangement for the raffle. It was very over whelming how the community came together. These are just the highlights of Kamloops coming together!…”

We wish Anakin and his family well.
