On Saturday, February 20, from 10am to 2pm, The Guild Freehouse (1250 Wharf Street, Victoria, BC) is hosting a FREE brunch for the community.
Donations will be gratefully accepted at the door, with 100% of proceeds to be given to the BC Hospitality Foundation.
Open to anyone with a hungry stomach in the Victoria area, the owners are encouraging members of the hospitality industry, along with their friends and family, to enjoy a classic English inspired brunch that will leave you satisfied.
John Watson, former owner, but now a consultant to The Guild says, “I only found out recently about the great work the BC Hospitality Foundation has done for workers across Victoria, Vancouver Island, and throughout the province. I immediately knew we had to do something to give back. And what a better way to do that than opening our doors to the community and sharing a meal together!”
Chef Sam Benedetto, who trained for four years in many historic pub kitchens in London, will serve comforting breakfast favourites packed with flavour and richness. From a traditional 2-egg breakfast to English staples such as mushrooms on toast or The Guild’s take on our classic British “fry-up”, foodies of all stripes are sure to be impressed. The restaurant is also offering specials on their famous Caesars ($5.00) and Mimosas ($4.00) for those that enjoy their brunch in a civilized British fashion.
