We are thrilled to be the charitable partner for the upcoming Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) Golf Tournament, on August 26, 2015.

TOTA is a not-for-profit society which works to support the region’s tourism products, which include restaurants, hotels, resorts, wineries and more. Their annual, engaging day of golf will be played at the award-winning Talking Rock Golf Course at Quaaout Lodge & Spa in Chase, BC. The course offers a wonderful opportunity to connect for hospitality and tourism colleagues while challenging their golf skills, and includes cocktails, dinner, prizes and much more. Player registration is now open HERE.

10 of our BCHF beneficiaries in the past 18 months have been from the Okanagan. TOTA, recognizing the Foundation’s work in their region, will donate 50% of all proceeds from the event to the BCHF.

Our executive director Alan Sacks is extremely pleased “The partnership is ideal,” he says. “TOTA’s members’ service offerings are made up of hospitality workers. The BCHF is proud to work with TOTA and support its hospitality membership.”

To date, the BCHF has provided 89 beneficiaries facing financial crisis due to a medical condition with almost $400,000 in assistance; the BCHF has also offered nearly 100 students $130,000 in scholarships towards hospitality, culinary and beverage programmes across the province.
