BC Hospitality Foundation | Scholarship Program

The BC Hospitality Foundation has several scholarships available for individuals in the hospitality industry throughout BC. Deadlines and application criteria varies.

Up to three Industry Scholarships are available annually for children of hospitality workers who have worked in the industry for 5+ years. This is a legacy scholarship to support families in the industry.

Applications open year round.

Every year, the BCHF awards up to four $1,000 sommelier scholarships to further wine education studies.

Applications are open from January 2 to January 31st.

These scholarships are sponsored by Okanagan Crush Pad (OCP) and Authentic Wine and Spirits Merchants. These scholarships are a mentorship program designed to further individual study in wine education. Up to four $1000.00 scholarships are awarded every year.

We do not take applications for the Hospitality Scholarship. We fund the scholarships and recipients are chosen by respective program deans, chairs and faculty from each eligible post-secondary institution from students who are enrolled in their second or fourth year of study and at least 19 years old.

  • Royal Roads University
  • Selkirk College
  • Thompson Rivers University
  • University of the Fraser Valley
  • University of Victoria
  • Vancouver Community College
  • Vancouver Island University

Five culinary scholarships are awarded in partnership with the Chefs’ Table Society of BC each fall. The Chef’s Table Society of BC selects the students and the Foundation funds the scholarships.

Applications are from January 2nd until February 28, 2018.

The Greg King Scholarship is a result of the colaboration between the BC Hospitality Foundation and Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. The King Family offers an exclusive $1,500 scholarship to students that are passionate about cooking!

Applications are open until February 28, 2018.
